CANCELLATION POLICY

Your appointments are very important to us , they are reserved especially for you, we understand that sometimes schedules adjustments are necessary; therefore, we kindly request at least 48 hours notice for cancellations.

STRICT AND ENFORCED 48 HOUR CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY

Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a Cancellation fee will apply.

  • Less than 48 hours notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
  • “NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
  • For appointments made within a 24 hour period, if you cannot make your appointment, please cancel within 4 hours of your appointed time. Failure to do so will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.

The cancellation/rescheduling policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our team members scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone. Michaela Mitoi Hair and Beauty Salon’s policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent servicing for our established and future clientele. Thank you for viewing and supporting our policies criteria.

SATURDAY AND LONG APPOINTMENTS

In order to optimise the availability of our employees and resources, for appointments booked on Saturdays and long appointments booked on weekdays (over 2h length), a 50% deposit is required. This value is refundable when you cancel your appointment within the time frame mentioned above (at least 48 hours in advance). For more information, please contact the Reception.

ONLINE BOOKINGS
 
Payment details: 
Before we take your payment details, we will confirm:
• The service or treatment you have booked.
• Our salon’s name, location and contact details.
• The total price (including any taxes) of the service or treatment booked or how the price will be calculated if an exact price cannot be given.
• The time and date of the appointment.
 
Advanced payments:
We will take payment in full at the time of booking.
In case of a late cancellation or no-show, we will keep an amount of the advance payment that genuinely reflects the loss we have suffered as a result of the late cancellation or no-show.
If we are able to fill your slot, we will only keep an amount of the advance payment which covers our costs of finding another client.
The upfront payment will be fully refunded if you cancel, as long as you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Please note that for online booking refunds a transaction fee of 2.8% will be retained by the Online Payment Processor.
 
Keeping to time:
If you are running late, we will do our best to fit you in, but we may not be able to provide the full service or treatment.
 

CONFIRMATION CALLS AND EMAILS

As a courtesy, we will email/call and confirm your service appointments two business day prior to your appointment date. However, if we are unable to reach you, and can only leave a message, please understand that it is your responsability to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed appointments and the cancellation fee.

GIFT CARDS AND TREATMENT COURSES

GIFT CARDS can only be redeemed in-store and cannot be used for online purchases. Must be presented upon redemption. To be used for the purchase of services at Michaela Mitoi – Hair and Beauty.

Treat online gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen gift cards will not be replaced or refunded. Anyone that has a copy of your digital gift card can use it. Therefore, it is your responsibility to keep your digital gift card secure. Gift cards will expire 12 months from the date of issue. Online gift cards are not redeemable for cash, this includes current remaining and expired balances.

TREATMENT COURSES
Our treatment courses offer you any 6 treatments for the price of 5.
All treatments courses must be used within 12 months from purchase.
We cannot offer refunds after the expiry date.

At Michaela Mitoi Hair and Beauty we take privacy seriously and only use the information we collect to provide our services. Hair and beauty related services:
We request the minimum level of personally identifying information to run our business effectively. This is data you provide us directly, for example, your name and contact details. We will never obtain information about you indirectly from sources outside our business. We store notes with respect to services we undertake to ensure we maintain and exceed our level of service. For example, your preferred hair style, colour formula codes, how you like your coffee or tea and who your favourite stylists are. We consider you have provided consent for us to store personally identifying information and information about your services based on your receiving services from us. Depending on the particular service(s) we are providing we may be required to ask questions related to your medical history. We will obtain your consent prior to storing information related to your medical history. Examples of medical data may be allergies, pregnancy or an injury that may impact our service.

Appointment confirmations and reminders:
We will contact you via phone, email or SMS to confirm appointments booked and remind you of upcoming appointments. We consider your having made the appointment as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt-out at any time.

Appointment ratings and reviews:
After visiting us we may send you an email or SMS asking you to rate our services and provide feedback. We consider your agreement and participation in the service as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt out at any time.

Loyalty:
We consider becoming a member of our loyalty program as consent to send you emails related to the loyalty program but, if you want, you may opt out at any time.

Marketing:
We will not undertake phone, mail, email or SMS marketing without you first providing consent for us to do so. Our marketing campaigns are automated and use rules based on services and products purchased and information we collect from you. For example, we may send marketing campaigns related to your birthday, the fact we miss you (you have not visited for 3 months) and other special days like Valentine’s Day and Christmas. Of course, you may opt out of receiving marketing material at any time.
